I would like some information from the BARC, presumably Thruxton, meeting of 9 June 1985. Could anyone help with details from programme and results sheet, race 7 for single seaters and car 36 in particular.
Thanks in anticipation

There was no race meeting at Thruxton on June 9, 1985.
The BARC ran a meeting at Cadwell Park on that date.
From the results it would appear that race seven was the last race of the day and was the Monoposto Championship race.
Monoposto Championship Race - 10 laps
1. George Whitehead, WRA 82M, 15m 08.5s
2. John Bradshaw, Raffo Mk 9
3. Brian Turner, Chevron B47
4. Bob Davis, Davis T5
5. David Cox, March 793
6. G. Jackson, Modus
FL. Turner, 1m 28.9s (91.11 mph), record.
was this a really wet meeting?

For the Cadwell Monoposto race I can add:
7. Nick Ashbourne, Lotus 69
8. David Proctor, Brabham BT38C
DNF:
Pete Williams, RLA 853
Brain Searles, March 852
No race numbers, sorry

Thanks David, This helps narrow it down if nothing else.
By the way, was Mr Searles driving brand new 85 spec March in a Monoposto race?
Cheers
If you are sure it is a BARC meeting you want, try them at their Thruxton office. Phone is 01264 882200. AS it is no longer the racing season ASk for Enid Smith in Press Office. They have good archives and if you ask nicely she may help.

I have just had a look through my records as I was competing at this meeting. Our race was race 6 but I do not have the complete programme for all the other races.(Jamesl asked if this was a wet meeting, no it was hot and sunny,1.28 is a quick time round Cadwell. I was competing in the Racing Displays FF 2000 and the quickest race time was in the 1.27s.)

Can only add pole was 1.29.8 by G Whitehead and it was round 5 of the championship.
