The speed of this site

I have received various reports of problems with the slow loading of this site. Have you found it a problem ? Or not ?

If you have, which country are you in ? It may possibly that the problem doesn't lie with our host.

In the past two days I have had serious problems with speed, a couple of times getting the "no URL" message and for about 1/2 hour yesterday could not get on at all. I am Canada. It could be us.

Liz, keep me informed - we are stuck with Iperweb at the moment as the site just went over our alloted 100megs of storage, and was in very serious danger of being switched of by our hosts. Therefore I had no choice but upgrade to the next hosting package which was an expense which I hadn't planned for. Therefore it'll be at least a couple more months before we move http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/ubb/frown.gif

I think I've only had one time that the site failed to load properly. Other than that time, it seems fairly fast to me. Also, for those running slower modems, a thread with a lot of posts will always take longer to regen.
Seems that the site has had a large influx of new members as well. I hope this is good for you Craig. Probably lots more work!
I also like the new format. Excellent job.

Just changed my internet account, still with same ISP, but access to all sites has got a whole load faster http://www.Ten-Tenths.com/ubb/smile.gif I can't blame my modem if things go slow, it's a 56k. Nice to finally have a decent download time for ten-tenths!!

Site speed seems ok to me, and I only have a 14.4Kbd connection and a Dial.Pipex account here in the UK.

P.S. You owe me 3 hours phone bill money for creating such a good site. (I've just about finished poking into every nook and cranny).
