What is ICQ Number

Excuse the lack of tech knowledge but what is ICQ Number for on the forum profile ?

ICQ is program that is used to send messages to people. It also detechs when someone else is online if they are in your ICQ directory. eg. I put your number in my directory you turn your ICQ on it tells me u are online Then i can send u a message.
