Welcome to the new look Ten Tenths, please post any queries you have regarding the update in this forum rather than the main "Announcement & Feedback" forum.

This way we'll be better able to answer your queries about what's new or what's changed.

Congratulations and well done to you both.

I didn't expect to get back on line so soon. :unworthy:

The more I explore all the tweaks, the better this gets!

It'll keep idle thumbs busy for hours I'm sure :)

I like the facility to change fonts, colours and sizes too.

Could be problematic on affiliate forums so don't be surprised if you lose the ability to change colour :(

I'm posting through mine and no problems so far. ;)

Great to see Ten-tenths back and it certainly looks different. Not sure about the changing font colours though as this could make some posts difficult to read if people get carried away also the colour change thingy doesent work properly, I had to put the last formatting tag in myself

You have to block the text then click on the font change thingy.

And suddenly its not working!

That's strange because in the fully WYSIWIG editor it's working for me! Try the WYSIWIG by setting it in your control panel / preferences (http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions). It's rather funky.

To demonstrate the problem with varying text colours:

View this post in the 'Torque Radio' style:

Can you read this text - I might be swearing at you!
Or this in the default colour scheme?

(Use the drop down menu at the bottom left of the screen to alternate.)

That is all fact and the reason we didn't allow it before. But the ability to change fonts and text sizes makes the site looks amateurish IMHO.

Indeed - I would go for one uniform font and colour - with the ability to embolden and italicise, perhaps.

The default font is very clear and easy to read and it looks good too, in my opinion.

What do the 'add to ....... reputation' and 'link to this post' buttons do?

Craig

Check out EP's rather marvelous new FAQ:

http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/faq.php?faq=whats_new_faq#faq_whats_new_reputations

Basically if someone is particularly helpful in their response you can 'add to xx's reputation' as a small reward. Likewise, if they give you a short stroppy response, you can give them negative feedback!

What do the [...] 'link to this post' buttons do?Right clicking on the Link To This Post will give the shortcut that allows you to link to the post within the context of the thread. Right clicking on the #1 (or #2 etc.) will give a shortcut that allows you to link the the individual post outside of the thread.

Agree about the font thing (I've been playing with it) but I don't think iot makes the site ametuerish at all. I can see the problem if the colours clash with a certain "skin". In my case that doesn't happen.

Certainly I'd like to use my own "default" font but the arial site default is fine.
