Dave Brand 4 Dec 2004, 14:54 Much better! I was worried that 'new' could also mean 'slower' - an important consideration for those of us using dialup connections. In fact, it's noticeably faster. Peter Mallett 4 Dec 2004, 17:15 Hah! They let us play with them for a few weeks. No, just kidding... looks good so far. :) MagnetON 5 Dec 2004, 01:30 What's that green thing that says I'm a back marker and how is this determined. Because it is bull**** obviously! ;)User "reputation", everyone starts with the same reputation level and the increase (or decrease) is based on user feedback on posts you make. See THIS LINK (http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/faq.php?faq=whats_new_reputations#faq_new_what_reps)in the FAQ (http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/faq.php?)(which you should have read for information about he changes in this upgrade) Crazy Marshal 5 Dec 2004, 11:02 Well done, i think the new design looks great! Redblurr 5 Dec 2004, 13:42 looks very good indeed - certainly be back more often  ralf fan 5 Dec 2004, 20:05 BTW what are "referals" and "group memberships" in the public profiles? Gabrio 5 Dec 2004, 20:36 Congratulations for the excellent effort !!! It really looks nice and more user friendly.  [ EvilPumpkin 5 Dec 2004, 23:22 BTW what are "referals" and "group memberships" in the public profiles? Referrals are something you can fill in when you register - it allows new users to tell us if an existing user directed them to the site. Group memberships are not an option we're currently using (and probably won't). It's possible to have closed user groups within the forum software. MagnetON 5 Dec 2004, 23:34 BTW what are "referals" and "group memberships" in the public profiles? When people register for the forum they can enter your userid and this is classed as a referal. They aren't really used on here though. Group memberships will allow us to have private or public usergroups that people can request membership of. One use of this would be to allow a website to have a forum on Ten-Tenths that's only available to their usergroup. MagnetON 5 Dec 2004, 23:37 lol.... Looks like we were both typing at the same time my dear! :) Tye 9 Dec 2004, 00:46 I'd like to pass on my thoughts on the new layout of the forum. It looks great! I particularly like the feature that allows you to point your mouse over a thread topic and view the first post :) . I'm sure there will be many more positive surprises as I navigate through the new forum. Many thanks to Grant and Terri for their great work on speedily bringing us the new forum. When Santa arrives later this month, I'll be sure to send something along with him for the two of you. I would also like to give everyone who was involved in the project a big thank you :), and that means from the initial idea to the finishing touches. Great work! Tye Jack Man 9 Dec 2004, 00:50 Love the new look. Great job. :rotate: Fab 9 Dec 2004, 07:26 Terri, Grant : same congrats from France ! What a work you achieved here !
