New Posts info

Two things I've noticed: first that the little envelope on the left of a thread stays open (showing new posts) even after I've read the latest post. It only seems to close if I log off then on again. Also, I get an email notification of a new post to a thread I'm on even when the new post is from me. I get all excited that some one has replied to my post, only to find it was my post that caused the prompt. Are either/both of these normal?

The graphic change may be down to your browser cache settings, as for getting an e-mail with your own replies, this is unusual and I've not had it reported yet. I'll keep an eye on it though.

I've now noticed that the little notice boards to the left of the main thread titles on the boards are very inaccurate. I noticed yesterday that some of them showed new posts but I couldn't find any. Today I'm finding new posts in boards that show as having no new posts. Help! I use AOL 9.0 and have no idea what a browser cache setting is.

Sorry, my fault on a couple of these things. The little notice boards do change correctly so long as a) I use the menu tree at the top to navigate rather than my back button, and b) I give it about 10-15seconds to catch up. (I get a bit eager sometimes). As for the emailing bit, I think I've sorted that out by changing my personal profile to only give me daily updates. :o

Not on any of the screens I go onto there's not.
I use the home page, new posts and thread pages.
