Personal forum skin is not working for me

I put in my options "10Tenths - Liquid", but whenever I log on it stays "10Tenths - Solid" (I suppose this is default). And when I go to my options it says 'liquid', but it's not? :)

The menu on the bottom of each page sets your preferred cookie by way of a cookie. That cookie is remove when you log out. If you wish it to remain set to use the alternative format each time you log in you will need to set it in your profile:

I had something similar happen yesterday, I'd set the skin to 'liquid' and everything was ok - I then went to the 'ten -tenths shopping channel' (or whatever it's called), this changed the skin to something else and from that point I couldn't get it back to 'liquid' (despite my CP saying I was using 'liquid').

Got around it by closing IE and starting again and it's been OK since.

If you clicked the 'discussion forum' link at the top of the shopping page then that link needs updating when the new style is put onto that page. Please bear with us whilst we work our way round to it. Grant is currently directing all of his attention to getting the server running as smoothly as possible before starting on his list of odd jobs :)

If you re-read my opening post, you'll see that last sentence says: And when I go to my options it says 'liquid', but it's not?

Which actually means that I have changed that in my profile settings, and when I went there to check - 'liquid' was the selected one, but I was looking at 'solid'.

I hope that explains my point.

In that case I'll have to leave this to higher formation to comment on as I cannot see why this would be the case. To save them some time however perhaps you can tell us what browser and OS you are using and whether you can temporarily overcome this problem, once you are signed on, by changing the menu at the bottom of this page?

Also it may well be worth clearing out your cookies (http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/faq.php?faq=vb_user_maintain#faq_vb_clear_cookies) to check that there's not some dodgy data stored in there and seeing if that helps?

Not a problem, just thought it was worth a mention as it might not just be me that's come across that (then again it's highly possible it is just me and my rather random PC). There must be countless things more important to look at - superficial stuff like this can wait until everything else has settled down.

Thanks for your understanding and for your input.

I've had this problem when I went to the shopping bit and the affiliates as well, it reset mine to solid but it goes back to normal when I reload IE

The "Shopping Channel" requires some modifications to make it compatible with the style structures in use on the the rest of the forum. It's been added to my (increasingly longer) "To Do" list.

OS - Win 2K Advanced server
About browsers - that happened with Opera, but, amasingly, this morning everythng seems fine, so I don't know what would have happened with IE and Mozzila
And, yes, when I woould change it into liquid again, it would stay.

I didn't do this, and now wouldn't make much sense since it's ok :)

Deleting my cookies was the first thing I did, it didn't help

Weird. I have just checked your profile and it definately says you have selected the liquid styleset. Have you looked at the selector at the bottom left of the page and tried changin that to liquid? What happens then?

I can change in to every style after entering the site but the only version I get when first entering is the ten-tenths solid look

I had the experience of entering Ten Tenths through a link with the historic F3 site yesterdauy and now I cant get back to the new format! All I get is the format used by hostoric F3 which seems to be older than the previous evolution...
