Does that mean gomick will be given a negative reputation mark and lose his top ten place on the grid like happened to me when I asked about something that was in the FAQ? Or possibly even worse as he's a vetran?

oh, and PS, what function does a "Royalridge Computing" fulfill at a race meeting?

If you have a genuine issue with a negative reputation you've received, then follow the complaints process. If however you simply wish to complain publically for the sake of causing trouble, then it's time to go elsewhere.

Royalridge Computing has many functions at a race meeting. Usually at least one employee will be marshalling and another employee will be on a rescue unit. Royalridge also sponsors a driver in Ireland and Royalridge is what pays to keep Ten-Tenths online and pays for the bandwidth, software and hardware infrastructure you are currently using to publish your complaints.

Hope this clarifies.

I was under the impression that it was only valid to complain about a negative reputation if it was "abusive, offensive or threatening". (see FAQ) I did not realise that public comments on the subject were no longer acceptable.

I FAQ search of the word "Royalridge" produces "No match". I believed I was asking a valid question and your response would indicate that I should have known who they were and am being offensive to staff by showing my ignorance in public.

As requested I will reflect on the difference between my efforts to be amusing an your obvious dislike of some of my posts.

Royalridge appears at the bottom of every page on Tenths in the copyright section, along with a link to the site. I can add an entry to the FAQ, that is no issue. My response was in precisely the same tone as the question. Had you simply asked who Royalridge was, you would have got an explanation of that. You asked what function they served at a race meeting. That is the question I answered. I fail to see what the problem is?

If you are trying to be amusing rather than confrontational, may I suggest you investigate our extensive smiley collection. Judicious use of smileys can be very helpful in preventing misunderstandings.

Royalridge is now added to the FAQ.

Royalridge... "Royalridge is what pays to keep Ten-Tenths online and pays for the bandwidth, software and hardware infrastructure you are currently using to publish your complaints" sounded like quite a hurt and annoyed ending to your explanation. Hence my comment.

You are correct, the written word without a smiley is easily misunderstood. Perhaps you could add a small selection to the wide grey bar above the "quick reply" box which is where I prefer to type instant replies.

FAQ... I have still not read all of these. I will refrain from posting again (after this one) until I have.

OK, have now read FAQ top to bottom and am happy with that. I will attempt to moderate my tone accordingly and use smileys as appropriate to ensure misunderstandings are kept to a minimum. :)

Might I respectfully direct EvilPumpkin to: FAQ>General Forum Usage>What does the User Title mean... :innocent:

BTW, never found out what "Secret Squirrel" meant either :bag:

I'm also still having trouble finding the nation of MagnetON in my atlas :rotate: (it's listed just under Zimbabwe)

The half Scottish, half Irish flag might be a clue.....

Ohhh... I guess I was only looking 'cos of what I read in FAQ > General Forum Usage > Can you add my favourite picture/ smiley/ avatar/ flag/ other....? :innocent:

I'm also now curious that MagnetON has three green squares under his name and rates a top three grid position, but EvilPumpkin has four squares but only has the same rating. How many are needed for Pole?? (from my point of view this is obviously just a theoretical query ;) ).

FAQ says "..... The actual reputation wording was put together by us to try and give a motorsport flavour. It doesn't really mean anything as such - it's just that we had to enter descriptions for the various levels!"

Sorry, just assumed that the number of green blocks was a "level" and each had its own description. NOI :)
