Hi
I'm trying to write something about a Lola 142 here in New Zealand and it's proving hard to find any general info about the cars. ie: yaers made, how many etc. Can any one help?
Thanks

There'll be information in various F5000 books, I'm sure (I don't have any to hand). Also oldracingcars.com should help.
The T142 was the 1969 F5000 Lola, and it seems about 25 were sold. One of my sources says "more than 40" examples of the T140 and T142 were built, and another says there were 16 T140s.

Hi Alex
Can you hang on a week? I'm planning to publish my T140 and T142 pages middle of next week.

Allen: have you seen the last couple of issues of "Classic Car Weekly"? Two T142s for sale in the classified. One allegedly "ex-Newman-Hass" (sic (twice!)), the other "ex-Sid Taylor". I've been meaning to email you about this ...

Hi Richard
No, I haven't seen these. Ex-Newman-Haas! Wow, fancy them buying a car 14 years before they formed their team.
Are they both for sale on the same advert? I suspect 142/20 (or is it 142/19 or 142/21?) has recently gained a new-born 36-year-old identical twin.

Not the same advert, but two from the same advertiser. I'll email you the details rather than wave it around here. The ads aren't in the current issue, but were in the last two (at least).
Anyway, if one of them is ex-Newman-Hass, then it's a team I've never come across!
