Server too busy-threads lost?

Encountered a problem I had not noticed before in several years of using 10/10ths. 'Server too busy' message came up on first 2 attempts to log on this morning.Went out for half hour and returned to log on successfully at third attempt. However only 17 unread messages appeared,as oposed to the usual 100+ when I have been off line for around 18hrs! Has the server been down all night or does the system think I have read messages posted between yesterday evening and 9.45 this morning?

Possibly those 17 were posted between your unsuccessful attempts to log in and when you finally got in? I've had similar in the past - the page has failed to load so I've tried again, when I got in it said there were no posts since I'd last visited (which was blatantly untrue - it's another evil lying computer ;) )

Exactly.the times of these posts confirm this. Now when I try to link to the sub-forums I get the server busy again.Never have this problem with AtlasF1.

Even if you attempt to login and it fails the server will take your attempted login as your last access time. Thus if you then successfully log in again it "New Posts" will only show the posts from the time of your login failure.

To see new posts from the last 24 hours you can use:

This option will be added to the navigation menu shortly :)

Got some more "server too busy" messages this afternoon (about half two) - is that down to other things on the box taking resource or is everyone just monumentally bored this afternoon and logging on?

I've been getting the server too busy thingy quite a lot lately, half an hour today and at least once a day this week.

Occasionally the server does get busy, if this is the case then please be patient and try again.
