Kicking-back 18 Feb 2005, 09:44 57 entries?
That's good news.
I picked Michael Waltrip, to win. I'm glad the Busch leaders from last year are up there.
Jack Man 19 Feb 2005, 22:47 I've been a J Johnson fan since he came to Nascar so he's my pick. After watching practice yesterday i think he's got a great chance. He was the only car passing (17th to 1st in 6 laps) without someone beating in the back bumper. I like J Burton as a dark horse pick.
Im gonna go a real long shot with Kevin Lepage , he was excellent in the 125 the other day and if he doesnt win i hope he has a fantastic run :)
There's five guys to look out for and they are, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Michael Waltrip, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart. My favourite driver is Jeff Gordon and I also like Tony Stewart, so i'll be cheering for them later today. It should be a great race. :)
Kicking-back 21 Feb 2005, 07:49 And Jeff Gordon wins it for a third time.
Well done to him.
yep well done to Jeff.
guess I was way off with lepage but oh well :(
not a bad race and some exciting stuff towards the end there :)
Jack Man 21 Feb 2005, 13:01 Congrats to the whole Hendricks team they did a great job keeping Jeff at the front all day. Great job by S Riggs to hang at the front all day as well.
gttouring 21 Feb 2005, 13:38 what a race(ZZZZZZZZ)
last 30 laps things got reall good, but it took 170 laps to get there.
I knew 24 gordon would win, he was pretty quiet upfront, not showing his hand, and blammo! he pulled it off. what a mysterious charge by Earnhardt, that car was ****, adn he gets up to challenge wow
Well done to Jeff! Certainly has started his new campain strongly.
Snapper Baz 21 Feb 2005, 23:27 The last 20 odd laps were stunning...lets see what happens in California next week. The Trucks were eventful as well if you read the NASCAR site!
congrats to jeff gordon - a true legend whether you like him or not
Jeff Gordon has always been my favourite NASCAR driver and he's not only a good oval driver, he's one of the better road racers as well. IMO, I could see Jeff driving in F1, Champ Car or Sportscar racing, but I doubt that will ever happen since he makes alot of money in NASCAR and is one of their top personalities. Maybe when he gets a bit older he'll branch out into other disciplines of racing, however, that's a big maybe!
