Work Experience

Hi all

I am in my final year of an automotive engineering degree at the University of Hertfordshire at which I am looking at achieving a 2.1 or possibly a 1st. However I am struggling to find work due to lack of provable experience. I was wondering if any teams required a mechanic to help out at race meeting, and possibly more often from June onwards. I have been around racing for many years and have raced in SFFC with my own car. If anyone is able to help me or know someone who can could you please contact me.

Thanks

David

Dave I'm going to move this to the racers forum and leave a redirect here - I think you might get better exposure there! Good luck! :)

Part-time Historic FF Racer any good? do you want payment - not that kind of set-up. Close to you though Ware 01920 871153. Also Caterham racer near-by too.

Just curious if you did any FSAE at all during your time at the uni.

Any good at making exhaust headers for a chevy V8 in tight confines? If so, be at my workshop in the morning!

Seriously though, if you're interested in working on something different, drop me a PM.

Rob.

Try AHS http://www.formulavee.co.uk/. They take on university (& NVQ I think) students. They run over a dozen single seaters at each race meeting. You'll have hands-on (& get 'em dirty) experience from the off - practical experience at the sharp end. You'll learn motor racing, not how to make the tea. Their first meeting is this Sun/Mon. Mention my (strange) name & Alan will take your enquiry seriously. Worth a try.
