Couldn't resist it. I thought we'd agreed to do the next MTR at 9000 posts but I was wrong, but I'd had some ideas anyway and this was one of them. I liked the track a lot so I really went to town on it.
Lemme see, I've got all the usual - kerbs, racing line, textured grass, 3d ish buildings etc. Plus I've got tyre barriers, marshal's posts, little cars wizzing round, cars in the car parks, and started down Lustig's textured asphalt route, except I don't think it works for the track itself so left it on the tarmac run off, but very subtly. Oh, and I threw in some clouds and a beach with waves crashing on it for good measure ;)
There are three different layouts with a common pit lane, plus a racing school track with its own pit lane.

Quite a lot about it reminds me of Bahrain! :)
I like the shortcut at the top of the course, and that's something Bahrain has so inevitably it was going to have a similar shape

I believe MTR4 is at 10000? The other three being at 2500, 5000 and 7500.

That is quite beautiful though!

Very cool, P, but the track doesn't appear to be very wide, since the car overtaking at turn one is almost on the other side of the track. :)

Well, it has more to do with the fact I couldn't make the cars any smaller without them just looking like dots, they're oversized by about 300% ;)

P mate, that look great. As for the layout, reminds me a lot of Vallelunga...

Love it...

Dude!
That rocks, but If i could improve it slightley, id remove all of the corners apart form about 2.
Then it would be Rocking!

You could do the same detail on photoshop. (assuming that you know how)

Yeah, and assuming you had the money to buy it ;)

You could almost certainly do more detail than that in photoshop...

Rockmunky

I couldn't because 1) I don't really know how and 2) I don't have the patience to faff around with that stuff :p

Photoshop elements that I use to flesh out the ideas

I have Photoshop Elements, too, but I haven't found out how to do those 'Bezier Curves' or whatchamacallit.

Elements is inferior to GIMP. The full photoshop package includes the most useful functions*.

EDIT: *Such as Bezier Curves Lustig
