Your Best Track Threadnickyf1 3 Aug 2005, 14:41 this is a tracks thread. simply post your best tracks on here. :rotate: ricardoreyes 3 Aug 2005, 17:29 OK, Ricky. Here is my best track ( I think it is my best track but i'm not sure ). But where is your track? pirenzo 3 Aug 2005, 18:16 This thread defeats the point of having a dedicated sub-forum doesn't it? The original 'My Tracks' thread accumulated 7000+ posts, and was closed (see top of the forum) and this sub-forum was created in order to make things easier to follow. Now there's another potentially endless thread? I don't mind letting this thread stay, provided it remains a discussion about what people think was/were their (or even other's) best track(s) and not a "here's my latest track" thing. New tracks should have a thread of their own preferably; and edits of real tracks should remain in their separate threads as well please. the_royksopp 3 Aug 2005, 19:32 Very strongly agree, Pirenzo. Aysedasi 3 Aug 2005, 19:43 Agree too. I've changed the title just to give it a chance. I'm thinking of those interested posting one track - their best one. As pirenzo says, lets have threads created which serve a purpose - there are no prizes here for starting a record number of duplicitous threads....... ;) nickyf1 4 Aug 2005, 14:08 OK, Ricky. Here is my best track ( I think it is my best track but i'm not sure ). But where is your track? i am working on it ;) Aysedasi 4 Aug 2005, 15:44 How about a WIP? nickyf1 5 Aug 2005, 21:12 here is my best track so far on paint: luke 5 Aug 2005, 22:01 I will come and show my latest ten designs one day. Mainly motorbike tracks. Anyway here is well my most popular. http://uk.msnusers.com/luke21racers/mytracks.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=73 nickyf1 5 Aug 2005, 22:41 OK, Ricky. Here is my best track ( I think it is my best track but i'm not sure ). But where is your track? its nicky Aysedasi 5 Aug 2005, 22:45 What software do you guys use for creating your tracks on the pc? pirenzo 6 Aug 2005, 00:56 Well, I can't speak for everyone, but some use Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro etc, I use the GIMP which is a free version of PS/PSP really, some use the draw functions in Excel (which is very good, believe it or not), and others use the humble mspaint :) Mike_Wooshy 6 Aug 2005, 01:30 Im with P and i use the Gimp, well the gimp 2.0 now LOL :p although my tracks are slight less complex ... nickyf1 6 Aug 2005, 11:57 I use ms paint  but sometimes you can be suprised the_royksopp 6 Aug 2005, 13:49 I use paint. I've been drawing tracks in paint for 3 years now, and i guess my skills into that are somewhat advanced - i could start drawing in GIMP, but i don't feel like learning it all over again :). the_royksopp 6 Aug 2005, 13:51 Concerning my best track, i guess it has to be Autodromo de Lago di Bracciano (http://bracciano.fantasytracks.2ya.com/) . I don't know why, but the flow of that track just came to me once, and i really like it :). nickyf1 6 Aug 2005, 16:08 paint is great for editing tracks. nickyf1 6 Aug 2005, 19:58 here is my best track so far on paint: any comments? nickyf1 6 Aug 2005, 20:29 here is my BEST track so far on paint: nickyf1 6 Aug 2005, 20:30 here is my BEST track so far on paint: sorry for loss of colour. :) ;) nickyf1 6 Aug 2005, 20:35 here is my BEST track so far on paint: black circles are tires. dark green is trees. brown is the pier. light grey is the path.( used for track ) dark grey is the track. red is pit building. white is barrier. there is a paddok but it is not in the picture. this track would be in a scottish park. nickyf1 10 Aug 2005, 22:23 has everybody lost intrest in this thread? not a lot of people have been visiting my tracks either. nickyf1 10 Aug 2005, 23:11 :Shrug:oh, just close it, nobody wants to post here any more. nickyf1 20 Aug 2005, 21:37 you may aswell close this thread, nobodies interested in this or the my tracks forum. :s Flaming_Wuzzle 21 Aug 2005, 00:46 you may aswell close this thread, nobodies interested in this or the my tracks forum. :s We got the idea the first time you said that this thread should be closed, there is no need to reiterate the point twice more. Furthermore, if people weren't interested in the My Tracks forum, it wouldn't be here. Obviously we're a bit of a niche community (and thus you shouldn't expect crowds like Parc Ferme or the F1 forums get) but just because we aren't posting 500000000 times a day doesn't mean there is no activity whatsoever. Andy77 21 Aug 2005, 02:16 hey you nickf1 if you believe or not i am. only bad ive signed up a couple days too late to reply I do like this seaside circuit , really :D Craig 29 Aug 2005, 21:21 here is my best track so far on paint: http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=15663 I realise I am an outsider here, but... is that meant to be some sort of kart track? Or are you seriously thinking that formula and saloon cars would run on it? the_royksopp 30 Aug 2005, 18:10 I must say i also have it difficult looking at that track without thinking 'kart'. A recommendation: Try to draw your track as one single line instead of to lines with filling in between. That'd help tremendously. nickyf1 6 Sep 2005, 21:27 advice taken! TilkeWannabe 11 May 2008, 07:25 This is TilkeWannabe and i think it's a good track, especially for overtaking. TilkeWannabe 11 May 2008, 09:13 Hi, it's TilkeWannabe again. I was wondering how to get drawings of your fantasy tracks onto the website because I draw mine by pencil but don't want to use paint or anything like that beause I don't like paint much. I want to show off some of my better designs on the site, see what you fellow designers think. If anyone has any ideas, you could put something on this arvo or possibly next weekend because I'm in Year 12, OR send an email to Ferrari4evr@gmail.com. Thanks bio 11 May 2008, 11:15 Hi, first you must digitalize your drawing. That means two choices: you either use a scanner or a digital camera. Once the picture is digitalized you can load it into your computer as an image file and then all you have to do is upload it here. That is also easy: One way: upload the picture to an online store site and simply link it here. Click on the link button above the Quick Reply window (the button with a globe and chain) and paste the image's address there. The other, and i think better way: first, you switch here to Advanced mode. Do it by clicking on the "Go Advanced" button just under the "Quick Reply" window. That way you get more editing options. If you are in advanced mode, you can, for example, attach images to your comment. To do it, click on the attachments button - it's the one with a paper clip on it, above the comment window. That opens a seperate window where you can attach the files on your computer. You may attach 6 images for one comment, with filesize limits but the limits and attachable file types are indicated there. Once the files are uploaded, close the upload window. Back here, you can attach them tin your comments by clicking again on the paper clip button where you see the uploadad files' names. Don't be surprised: when you attach a file, you won't see the image itself until your comment is submitted :) Good luck and let those images come :) bo PS: Sorry if my explanation was too basic or too complicated but I dunno how much you know about this stuff :( bio 11 May 2008, 11:16 And one more thing: you better don't want to be Tilke - he's not too popular here :D :D :D Chiefy 11 May 2008, 11:23 Just for the sake of reposting it, I'm going to nominate Samson Park as my best track, of the few I've contributed (currently residing on page 8, I believe). Here it is again. http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/6867/samsonparkjpgpw0.jpg I'm thinking about creating some new ones, though.:) TilkeWannabe 11 May 2008, 11:42 It's the dreaded-by-Bio Tilke fan again! Bio, when you eventually read this, know that I took your comment about Tilke as advice. nickyf1 11 May 2008, 22:03 errrrr. You bumped a thread from like 3 years ago to ask a question. Why not start a new thread? bio 11 May 2008, 23:00 Why, nicky, you're that desperate to have this thread closed? :) bio bio 11 May 2008, 23:01 Chiefy, forgot to ask something: how does that round viewstand look like in 3D? nickyf1 11 May 2008, 23:43 no, its against the rules to bump old threads, nevermind bump an old one, then hijack it ;) Although last time I said something like this, Peter Mallet gave me a warning... Chiefy 12 May 2008, 01:40 I will call it the Carousel Tower. Spectators inside the tower (top deck) are treating to a revolving (therefore panoramic) view of the entire circuit. I didn't notice this was an old thread, which makes me an innocent victim. But I can get out. ;) Here I go... Going... Going... TilkeWannabe 12 May 2008, 03:34 Was Nicky talking about me? TilkeWannabe 12 May 2008, 03:37 Oh, by the way Bio, did you get wot I said last night or not? TilkeWannabe 12 May 2008, 06:02 Oh, and by the way again, can anyone please explain to me how to start a new thread for mytracks? Preferrably before 3pm Perth, Australia time. bio 12 May 2008, 11:13 Wannabe, first, I'm in Hungary, Europe, please don't expect me to reset my headclock to Australian times :) I read what you said but not sure what you mean by this "got what you mean" thing. Starting a new thread: it's simple. On the My Tracks ( http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=59 ) page you should find a black "New Thread" button top left. nickyf1 12 May 2008, 22:33 sorry tilkewanabe, I noticed you had posted a thread earlier, and I didnt know you didnt know how to post a thread. sorry mate. :) TilkeWannabe 13 May 2008, 03:24 Bio, I know you're in Hungary and I'm sorry, my bad. I didn't want you to change your clock to Australian time but I was possibly a bit desperate to get a response before the end of school yesterday. Once again I'm sorry. TilkeWannabe 13 May 2008, 03:25 That's alright Nicky, I stumbled on how to create a new thread accidentally yesterday, so it's all good now. |
