Lack of Sponsorship

After looking at pictures of the Paul Ricard test I was struck by how little sponsorship is on the cars. Only Portugal and New Zealand seem to have any sponsorship at all.

Whilst this is understandable for teams like Germany, Indonesia and even Ireland it is slightly worrying that the first teams to be announced, like Britain and Lebanon, do not seem to been able to find backers.

It's not necessarily the case they can't find backers.

Deals will likely be unveiled nearer the first race - although as I understand it it was never the case that we were expecting to see big advertising on the cars.

It's mainly investment directly into the franchises so as to run the cars in national colours.

The British entry is sponsered by Sky TV (which seems a bit redundant to me as the races are being shown on... Sky TV).
