Daf_Loz 12 Sep 2005, 13:53 Thought I'd give you some idea of popularity of the first event at Brands Hatch. All the grandstand seats (permanent and 3 temporary stands) have completely sold out.
Story on MSV Website (http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/news/article.asp?NewsID=873).
Stephen Green 12 Sep 2005, 14:07 I saw the announcement earlier this morning Daf. Great news and as you say, it shows what a good event it's shaping up to be. I think one of the great attractions is the fabulous support package, something F1 could take note from.
Incidentally, good adverts during the F1 commercial breaks yesterday!
SALEEN S7R 12 Sep 2005, 14:12 Indeed, very good news. And to think, a few of us have been speculating crowds as low as 10,000-20,000 - sounds much more like 50,000+ to me. :)
Stephen Green 12 Sep 2005, 14:14 I hope so as it would be nice to see MSV get some return for the investment they have made in all their circuits in the past 18 months. I don't think I have ever seen Brands Hatch looking as good as it does now.
Rockmunky 13 Sep 2005, 19:25 Is it quite different now?
The last time i went to brands was btcc in 2003.
Stephen Green 13 Sep 2005, 19:46 Lots more run offs, freshly painted, grass mown, everything looks 100% better than it ever has in my years of going there. Big thumbs up to JP and his team.
Rockmunky 13 Sep 2005, 19:50 Oh good, i only noticed from tv and such different coloured kerbs.
Glad I ordered my tickets when I did then!
Haven't been to Brands Hatch for about 6 years - when I did a track day thing.
Am really looking forward to this event - it's just a shame all the rest will be broadcast by Sky, as I don't have that.
Roninho 14 Sep 2005, 21:37 Indeed, very good news. And to think, a few of us have been speculating crowds as low as 10,000-20,000 - sounds much more like 50,000+ to me. :)
The story in the link provided talks about 6,500 tickets solds.

That's the capacity of the grandstands, not the entrance figures.
Yes,thats not many is it,compared say to a NASCAR half mile oval?
Glad I have mine.Hope weather is fine as we are all in the open!

All the MSV circuits are looking great...even the old airfield that is Snetterton. Vast improvement. Bravo JP.
