As you can tell by the photo, the new Lola chassis is definitely diferent from everything else on the track. At first impression the car looked like a huge electromotive train engine, but after a little more staring it looks quite more like another type of race car. Picture a F1 car with a large cloth draped over it and I think this is more what teh new Lola is. What do you guys think?

it seems there will be a few of these new Lola's running around this year.

Franz Conrad has confirmed that Jan Lammers will drive on in the ALMS and the SRWC

Team Sintura will have one for the ALMS for Richard Dean I believe
and team Rafanelliwill run one or maybe 2 for Pier Luigi Matini , Mimo Schiaterella and former bike rider Didier de Radigues

and maybe a few more will pop up...so it seems the teams are confident that the car will make the grade so we will have to wait and see.

correction...Franz Konrad will run his Lola in the Grand Am series and not the ALMS.

My opinion: UGLY car. One of the worst looking cars ever to come out of the WSC rules. Marcus called it right: the nose does look like an old pickup truck nose. But what's the old saying, "form follows function." Let's see how it performs on the track. The results may be better looking than the car.
