Hey all. I'm doing a webpage on Formula1 for my computers class I was wondering if someone could give me a rough estimate of what the teams budgets are for the season I know some are more than others but on average what would you say a formula1 team spends each season?
Hope someone can help, and soon..it's due tomorrow!!

Thanks in advance, Ted.

If you have it, there was a piece in the first Formula 1 magazine on that very subject. If you don't, I'll find it and post them.

Hope you pass!!

No I don't have it Sparky....thanks for the quick reply...I don't need every teams budget just a general overall average and it doesn't have to be exact I just don't really have a clue. If you could just take a quick look at the magazine for me and just post what you think the average would be that would be great. Thanks a lot and i hope I pass too.

No problem Mr G.

The thing that surprised me the most was that Prost are pocket change above Minardi in terms of budget, yet nobody ever says "Oooh, they'll never make it/finish/survive."

I think the gulf between top and bottom budgets says more about the top two teams than anyhing else. Nearly an extra third above BAR, Wiliams and all.

Is it any wonder they are dominant?

Yeah that is true Sparky and it is surprising at how well Prost does with that comparativly small budget (I say this because before your post I figured Ferrari spent about 40 million a year....boy was I wrong!). What about the FIA imposing a sort of salery cap system to make it more fair? I dunno it probably can't work but it would be better for those teams down at the bottom there.
