Williams on top of Traction Control?

The last time that the FIA introduced major rule and techinical changes to Formula 1 (Grooved tyres in 98) it was Mclaren that adjusted best! It seems to be this time around it is Williams and Ferrari that have adapted best. Even though traction control will not be legal until Spain, I think that the Williams boys have been doing the most homework...

I have to disagree there, Ferrari have the best electronics engineers in the business and although they are reluctant to bring it back so soon, I think they will be the masters of the system. I would also doubt that Williams will do a better traction control job than McLaren!

If you believe the hype, Williams claimed to have done little work on TC in the off season as they can pull the previous system "off the shelf".
It may be worth remembering that because TC was legal before, most teams should not be caught completely unaware and there should not be such a big advantage to be found.

If Williams had the best setup before, why not again?

I really didn't know who to quote, so I just took a line from Kenny's post. As discussed in great detail by many technical bods here in my thread "What is Traction Control", I would only repeat that I do not believe there is any similarity between the old system of TRACS and the ones cars will be using at the end of April.
I believe that many teams have a very good open loop system, but the new closed loop car management system will involve components of the car previously undreamt of. Instead of repeating what has been discussed in great detail in my thread, I would recommend you guys have a look there to see what has been discussed. Suffice to say that Williams, MacLaren and Ferrari do have great systems now, and will have super systems in three weeks' time.
