If you've never had the Chance to get close to a F1 car. The Sky Festival will be in Manchester on 11th - 13th of August.
- ( posted in A1GP )
" Albert Square in Manchester is being closed off and we should have 6 cars running. We start setting up a week on Tuesday, the 8th August.
Loads of famous Manchester Celebs are expected, so if you are a footy fan as well you should be pretty happy ;)
Rocking and :rotate: with the CATMAN "

It's not quite F1, but should give you a flavour of what F1 is about and what 500 + horsepower is about when unleashed :D

Is it A1GP? If it is not interested. And what is it doing in F1 forum?

As a to be visiting UK old veteran of some of the originals of the Ten Tenths web site forum.
I guess that some here have never had the chance to get near a live running F1 car.
Unless things have changed here some F1 followers are not in the position to get to a live race.
The sky festival will give many a chance to get close up to a powerful open wheel race car similiar to an F1 car on the streets of Manchester.
I hoped that the Mods here would see that this is a good opportunity for some F1 fans that post here, and posted it in the mahjor forum thread. :D

Hey CATMAN, there are still a few of us old ones around, but Ten Tenths has gotten a lot bigger since since you last visited. I hope that the F1 mods will move this to the A1 forum but leave a redirect.

Add a few more posts, and post in the Parc Ferme what you have been up to. 100 posts should get you there.

It's a great initiative, though F1 isn't alien to this kind of thing. They had the London demonstartion in 2004 for example. But more would be nice!

It's all good stuff!

Actually, there already is a thread in A1GP (http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86022)about this event. However, at risk of playing bouncy balls with this thread, there isn't a thread in Trackside about it yet. There might as well be - for somewhere to discuss who's actually going to be there. So, I'm going to move this over there, on the basis that it might ensure extra people are aware of this sure-to-be fantastic event; and also so see who's going to be there.

Day trip to Manchester looking like a good idea then... :rotate:

Can't say to much but if you are an English Football team fan word is that you will be real happy bunnies.
The event is in Manchester so I'll let you work it out! You should get your petrol head and footy dreams catered for in one event! ;)
And for the older and curious TT members you can rock and :rotate: with the infamous CATMAN :p
