Is anyone else going to Silverstone this weekend to watch the GP Master race?
I decided yesterday that I wanted to go so my friend Frances and I are packing up a tent and turning up on Friday and I hope I get to meet some ten-tenths people there.
xx
Am not, seen the car though recently at London City Airport - are they running the two seater at all as a demo at the weekend?
Yes, there is two seater running for like 2 hours or something on saturday afternoon...goodness knows what for!

I was planning to be there all weekend from Friday or from Thursday PM if possible, but it appears from and the [url=http://www.gpmasters.com/news_080806.htm]GP Masters site (]this thread[/url) that the circuit is only open to ticket holders on Saturday and Sunday. Does anyone know if this is definitely the case? Will the public definitely be turned away on Friday? Sounds like I'm not the only one to be messed around by this news :(

When I was booking my tickets through Ticketmaster they told me it was for Sat and Sunday only so before proceeding with the transaction I rang Silverstone to double check and the lady there told me that their weekend ticket included Friday as well. So I'm going to make my way down there on Friday morning to get camp site and hopefully spend the day by the track. If my ticket allows! (and if public arn't allowed in I'll take a book and enjoy the sounds of the cars in the sun hopefully)

Hehe well having watched it go up and down a runway for a couple of hours already before getting bored and leaving....you get my sympathy! Only good thing with that one was Nigel getting a rollocking for keeping doing doughnuts on the runway.... :) You have my sympathy!
Do wonder why it is running there / who it's for (hospitality I guess) as they've already ran it Silverstone once a couple of weeks ago for the launch.

That sounds more encouraging then :) I'll try and get in tomorrow morning, but failing that I'll just hope the weather's good and find something else to do in the area... beats working anyway ;)
As far as I am aware the Friday is only a test day anyway if any running is occuring.
