You're kidding, right?
'Elf' made me cringe.
Chatters 17 Aug 2006, 14:25 Maybe it only appeals to the young'uns...

'Elf' made me cringe.
Elf is a comedy classic, and this new film looks great
Random redneck sat next to us at Talladega: "Now THAT is one funny arsed guy!"
Looking forward to seeing the film - the trailers we caught when we were over there looked really funny.
nickyf1 18 Aug 2006, 23:26 Ill see if I can find a trailer on Youtube..
I've seen it and its very funny if you get it. No motorsport people will also find it good aswell.
nickyf1 25 Aug 2006, 23:00 I acctually think I might like this!
nickyf1 27 Aug 2006, 21:26 I have seen the trailer, and LOL! 'I'm on Fiiiire!!!! Help me tom Cruise!!!! ARRRGGGGHHHHHHH!'
'YOUR NOT ON FIRE RICKY BOBBY!!!'
'TOM CRRRRRUUUUUISSSEEEEE!!!!!'

Yeah, I keep going to my girlfriend "We have to see Talledage Nights"
"Which one is that"
"you know, 'Controll your heart rate' 'I can't, there's a cougar on me!"
mountainstar 1 Sep 2006, 01:37 I just saw it the other day.
It was ok. Wasn't realistic enough to be a racing film, wasn't funny enough to be a comedy. Yes there were some funny bits, but the story was a bit phony and dry.
I guess this is no longer being shown in the States? :s
Hopefuly its better than Driven...
Hopefuly its better than Driven...
The horror! I still wake up screaming at night with nightmares of me being forced to watch that movie.
Yea its more of a satirical film instead of trying to be real like Driven was.
real and driven two words i never expected to see in the same sentance
nickyf1 11 Sep 2006, 20:34 lol
nickyf1 14 Sep 2006, 20:18 It is out in the UK..... nnnnnnow!!!
To repeat Craig's question - is it still on in the States?! I guess not by now....
It is on in a few theatres. Was on in Hollywood a couple of days ago and in San Fran about ten days ago. But we didnt stop and watch it in the end.
In Atlanta now but haven't been near a cinema to check - but saw it last Thurs in the glorious surroundings of Croydon.
Oh ********! I am stuck in Southport on Tuesday night and I thought... oooh why not go and see Talladega Nights as there is a Vue right next to the hotel. So I dial up the website and, yes, they have Talladega Nights listed. Splendid. Okay, let's look at what times it plays... oh ********... the last showing was Saturday night. Great, seems I'm destined never to see the bloody thing! Anyone know when the DVD comes out? :)
Smokey 6 litre 11 Oct 2006, 15:31 i loved this film, i'm buying it when it comes out on DVD.
"hey Ricky booby, why can't you let me win just one race?"
"'Coz then i wouldn't win! how am i supposed to win if you come first?"
Chatters 11 Oct 2006, 16:39 Just saw it today... Funny, funny stuff! Anyone who can see this movie definately should (Craig seems destined not to-)...
"Don't try snorting the lucky charms."
Finally I got to see it! (Don't ask how... the FBI will be after me ;)) Pretty amusing and I look forward to buying it on DVD when it comes out (apparently due for release in UK on December 12th)
