Who will be MotoGP champion?

It is strange but nobody among all of us has put an explicit poll about this season's title.

This title is surprisingly open, with many potential likey winners, so the poll is a bit optimist.

(Note: I don't have any clear favourite for the title)

Well, I voted Hayden, but it is so difficult to choose for me point of view!

Well I voted with my heart and my head...Hayden. Really, he should be able to pull it off. All he has to do is come up with the results he had in these final races last year and the title is his. I believe he can do that. But, I have to admit to some doubt. We shall see.

Would have been easier to add a poll to the old thread. ;)

I would have said Hayden. But after Brno....hmmm.....I think Pedrosa, Rossi and Capirossi will be the strong ones.

Rossi will be champion.

But one of my jobs here is to increase the number of threads, no matter what dirty tactics gets involved ;)

Nah, this one's better. It was time for a new one. The old one was started after Le Mans I think!

Ironically this thread is, in a way, another tipping contest, we will see who is right at the end of the season.

Probably I suffer a "Midas disease": everything I touch turns to be a guess game :ill:

I did think Hayden but at Brno he was some way off the pace. I don't have a favourite driver or anything, so that hasn't affected my vote, but I still think Rossi will win the title. I'm not convinced Pedrosa will, and if he doesn't he certainly has time on his side anyway.

So, Rossi. I've probably jinxed him now, in every series where I said that a certain rider would win, they have gone on to have several poor rounds since...

Someone jinxed Sete Gibernau big time :stirrer: . He was great, then he began to visit the grass, and now he is practically living in a hospital :ill: . I'm afraid about the next step :ghost:

It's a two horse race between Hayden and Pedrosa...:woot:Post 800.

Pedrosa next year, but not this one... Apart from my doubts about his ability to plan tactically for the closing laps of a race, I also wonder whether Honda will quietly say, "Nicky is our man this year, give him the space, and if he screws up, you will be our man next year"

Sepang, Phillip Island, Motegi - all are going to favour Capirossi's form at the moment, but he's fifty points adrift.... Hayden is looking shakey at the moment, but I think he's experienced enough to pull himself together and defend that kind of lead. Not against someone with Rossi's tactical skill though.

I want Capirossi to do it, I think Hayden deserves it, but I reckon No. 46, despite his statements about taking it easy, would really like to confirm his place in history. Winning the championship from such a disadvantaged beginning would do that.

Rossi, Hayden, Pedrosa - in that order on the rostrum.

Remains to be seen whether Nicky's fade in the last race will be typical - more likely he just chose the wrong tyres and wasn't able to look after them enough.

Along with some clutch related issues with the bike.
