Donington from Long Eaton Station

Has anyone tried to get to Donington on public transport?

I'm looking at getting a train to Long Eaton and then getting to the track from there. Is there a local bus service that goes to Castle Donington or somewhere near the track? Or is the airport shuttle better?

Have not been for several years (2001) but last time I tried you could get a bus from Derby,Nottingham,Long Eaton or Loughborough.I think all the buses for the Airport pass the museum entrance.
Timetable from 14 oct 2001;
dep; Long Eaton Train Stn route 5B 9.11am then 11 past each hour

the airport buses pass, but don't stop at donington. you may be lucky and get a driver who is willing to stop for you. on the other hand, you might want to try and take a bike with you just in case? it's about a mile walk from any of the definite stops.
