Helio has driven for three CART teams now. Every team he drives for, he does very well until the wheels fall off his car.
Is Helio unusually hard on cars, does he have the world's worst luck, or is it Aliens? What do you think is hindering him?

Helio is a great driver and a Really cool guy
I think ...after the way he looked as a brand new rookie, there is a lot of pressure on him. Maybe it's what they call sophmore blues.I see him as one of the future stars in any form of racing he pursues. He'll get there.
where shall i start?
1. it's my curse. i like the guy, so he's doing pants. anyone else got a similar problem?
2. it's the cars. all his teams (especially penske) have been on the way down the order. or they have pretty useless machinery.
that's that problem sorted. next?
(ps - i'm banned from the internet, after being caught during the last race on it at 4 in the morning. daddy wasn't pleased.... :D so i'm on the college computers, and it being a friday...see you on monday!)
One weekend he wrecked three (Betenhousen) cars before the race even started. Of course, back then he thought it was funny.
Bella, you need to get a place of your own. What else is there to do at 4:00 a.m. except be on the computer?
I used to watch the races hoping beyond hope that Castro-Neves would get that win for Hogan Racing. An all-white car with no sponsors running up front. Unforunately the costs of motor racing probably kept him from finishing well. I think he has been guilty of driving well over the limit at times, especially when he compares himself to an all out attack driver like Montoya. But, then you see him make brilliant drives only to have a header crack and lose boost or a transmission sieze. His luck will turn, someday. I think he will be the one to get Roger his 100th. Nothing against deFerran, I just think he is not performing up to his own high standard yet.
I hope to God this is not the best Gil can do.
I KNOW it is not the best Helio can do. Without being disloyal to My Gil, I really wish Helio and Tony Kanaan could team together. That would be a pair of racers!
