Thouroughbred racingnicholaswhite 22 Apr 2001, 15:01 Does anyone know where I can find out more about this Historic F1 racing series on the 'net? Kpy 22 Apr 2001, 20:46 www.historicracing.com click on race results. Have fun Kpy Ian Jones 23 Apr 2001, 22:04 Nicholas, Have a look at the new site which has an e-mail address for further information www.tgp-f1.com which is the FIA TGP very own site also I have a few photos on WWW.webshowroom.co.uk/rallyphotos. Hope this helps, Ian Kpy 23 Apr 2001, 22:45 Ian - the URL you posted doesn't respond, think it's the caps - WWW. your own site with the pictures does work Best wishes Kpy SHerbert 25 Apr 2001, 18:04 Ian's site address doesn't work because the full-stop at the end has been included in the URL. Try: www.webshowroom.co.uk/rallyphotos And here's another site about the Thoroughbred Grand Prix Series: http://www.cmail.cz/inneman/tgp.htm Ian Jones 25 Apr 2001, 20:02 You must have younger and sharper eyes to notice that full stop on the end of my site address, thanks very much. Don't forget the next round of the championship is here in the UK on the 5/6 of May at Donington,if I get any more news I will pass it on. Ian Ian Jones 30 Apr 2001, 22:50 I have been able to acquire an entry list for this weekend's FIA TGP race at Donington but I am unable to attach to this submission therfore if you require a copy e-mail me and I will attach one to your e-mail in reply, cheers, Ian Ray Bell 1 May 2001, 03:52 Talking to Wal Donnelly the other day, a F3 racer of the sixties, who now races a Sports 2000 in Historics in Australia, he was saying about how disappointing his visit to the Austrian GP was last year... "It was much better the day we went to Brands Hatch and hung over the fence ten feet from the action with the older cars... and they were hanging the tail and really getting into it, too!" A good recommendation. Ian Jones 3 May 2001, 22:15 TGP Round 2-Donington Park May5/6 Round 2 of the Thoroughbred Grand Prix championship takes place this weekend at Donington, first practice is at 9.25am on Saturday May 5 with first qualifying at 11.15 with second at 16.20. The race is at 14.15 on the Sunday over 15laps with warm up having been held on early Sunday. Entries include Steve Hitchins in the Lotus 88,Richard Eyre,Joaquin Folch and John Wilson in Williams FW08s,Martin Stretton<Tyrrell P34 six wheeler>and many more in the 35entries. Should be a good weekend of racing, Ian Jones aiwa 8 May 2001, 18:39 It was!!!!! 1. Bob Berridge 2. John Wilson 3. Richard Eyre First eight cars within a few hundred yards of each other. Excellent stuff and congrats to all concerned. Ian Jones 8 May 2001, 20:31 Have a look at www.tgp-f1.com for a few exciting photos of Bob Berridge and John Wilson locked up at Melbourne hairpin during their ding dong battle, hopefully I will be sending a few more photos later today also lots more photos from the TGP will appear on my site. But it was a brilliant race from all competiors and bodes well for the rest of the season especially with Gasel and Dayton missing and Bob Berridge new Warsteiner Arrows hiding in the back of the garage. Looking forward to the British GP support race more than the actual Grand Prix. Ian Jones 23 May 2001, 20:31 Results from the Monza round can now be found on the www.tgp-f1.com site of the organisers. A win for Duncan Dayton in his Williams,no sign of Bob Berridge and Steve Hitchins was third in his ground effect Lotus 88. |
