You realize that perhaps only the vast expanse within the walls of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway could contain the egos of Bernie and Tony at the same time.

World domination for Tony? Well . . . it's been a long time since we've had King George in America!

Tony may have the PLACE but he doesn't have the RACE(Indy 500... ain't what it used to be). Or why else would NASCAR and FIA be racing there. Indy never needed anything else before. :D

Tony George - the ego that swallowed America - meets Bernie Ecclestone - the ego that swallowed Everywhere Else - the result will be something like matter meets anti-matter.

Be afraid. Be very afraid ....

Is the world ready for that much ego in one place?

If Bernie would give it half a thought, he could bury Boy George. He could eat him up and spit hin out right on the yard of bricks. Tony is in this USGP thing way over his head. Sink or swim. I think he will paddle for a while, three or four years, and sink. He may own the "hallowed grounds", but the people will not be there forever. I think the local crowd, the majority of current ticket holders, the same people who go to the irl 500 (for the event, not the race), will atttend one race, maybe two, and never come back. "What? No yellow flag? The race is over already? You call this racing? I liked the pretty red car, though..." I love F1, but I don't see the majority of the 200K ticket holders being in the same camp.

"Well, Mario, which will it be this year, Spa Francorchamps or Indianapolis, USA?"

Instant of silence. Loud laughter. Martha and Mario are off to Spa.

How you gonna keep 'em down on the farm, after they've seen the farm?
