This is the official prediction thread for Round 3 of the Fantasy Racing Challenge, which is Round 1 for the LMS at Monza. Pertinent information can be found as follows:
The entry list:
http://www.lmes.net/2007/uk/monza/liste_engages.asp
The event schedule:
http://www.lmes.net/2007/uk/monza/timetable.asp
If you have not read through the rules and information thread, please do so, as the format is somewhat unique. Your submission should include your pole prediction for each class along with your pick(s) for each class winner. Reminder: You can pick up to three cars for your class winning choice. I have no set format for submitting your picks as long as it is easy to follow. A submission for P1 may look like this:
P1
Pole: Peugeot #7
Winner: Peugeot #8, Zytek #10
All predictions should be in by 12:05pm local time Saturday the 14th. The deadline is two hours prior to qualifying. Good luck to everyone!

This one is giving me fits as I size it up! :rotate:
I think the predictions should be done before any track action as i think if every one waits to see what practice is like every one will list the same cars.
The idea is to work out who is the best bye precdicting rather than seeing
but thats my opinion any way good luck.

Good luck for tomorrow :)
jhansen 14 Apr 2007, 16:11 Thanks for posting the deadline B!
I really had no clue with this one.
Marky, if you want to change your predictions it's absolutely not a problem. Just post a new set and put a note for jhansen to say that it supercedes your previous post. :)
dont want to change my predictions
but predicting is all to do with knowledge not watching practice then seeing who is quickest then puting them down as pole because it obvious who it will be. i know in the race it can change but for pole atleast i think it should be done before any track action.
then its down to peoples knowledge of sportscar racing.
SALEEN S7R 14 Apr 2007, 19:15 Well Marky what can I say, the system works well for the Moto GP predictions competition. I think it works well here too, sure its a bit differnt to most of the predictions competitions here on ten-tenths but that doesent mean to say it lacks skill, in some ways it requires more because there is a extra element to the predictions. Do you predict that Oreca will win GT1 for example and get a big haul of points, or arent you so sure and think Oreca and Labre have a even chance? If you choose the latter you have a better chance of winning but you could win less. The rules of this Championship arent any worse or better than any other here on ten-tenths. IMO.
#7, #40, #55 and #76 on class poles.
Seems like four got three right: Bentley03, The359, The Real DMN and me
Good luck for tomorrow :)

dj choc ice 14 Apr 2007, 20:30 looks like i have 2 out of 4 in qualifying, the LMP1 pole and the GT2 pole, a good base to do well from this weekend although the #50 larbre aston martin DBR9 was rather slow in qualy:hmf:

so thats 3 out of 4 for me on pole looking good
Thats just Jammy Jim
Ouch, after perfect qualifying guesses, only 1 of my 12 race winner guesses was correct...
jhansen 16 Apr 2007, 06:43 Well I didn't do very good on either side of it.
Forgive me folks, had a busy weekend. Will catch up on this tomorrow.
Although, to be quite honest, I'm afraid to look...

HORNDAWG takes overall honors with 8 points! Jaysalv and skycafe round out the podium. The359 took top honors in the qualifying pick while HORNDAWG took top honors in the class win pick.
Well, what can I say. This was carnage!
Speed-King 17 Apr 2007, 12:26 Awww, my feeling was right. the LMS-rounds won't mean hell of a lot, as noone scores a lot of points in them.
My LMP1 picks for Valencia will be the Pugs, though ;)
i think every ones will be nodoubt
jhansen 17 Apr 2007, 16:33 Very true, this was not a high scoring round. HORNDAWG scored well due to riskier picks. I keep saying I'm going to try that, but when I put my picks down I go the safe route. Oh well.
jaysalv 17 Apr 2007, 17:22 still a top 3 position for me not to bad whats happened marky ? a man with your knowledge of sportscars must be having a off day
dj choc ice 17 Apr 2007, 17:51 god, i thought this was hard, how hard is valencia going to be next with the swiss spirit lola audi and arena zytek:laugh: .
jhansen 17 Apr 2007, 17:55 Not to mention, Monza looks nothing like Valencia. Quick pace at Monza does not guarentee quick pace at Valencia. Keeps it interesting! :rotate:
dj choc ice 17 Apr 2007, 17:58 aye, if memory serves me right valencia is a track that is tight and technical and favours the cars with higher downforce like the zytek and courage LC70, so my money is on the arena zytek to win.
i think the courage LC70 should get into the top 3 in qualyfying, i somehow cant see the peugeot's winning at valencia what with the higher centre of gravity a closed car had on a technical track surely wont work in their favour.
jhansen 17 Apr 2007, 18:04 Zytek will certainly have a shot at a pole and a podium if the new car is up to the 1000K distance. Should be a good race. And yes, the track is very tight with an arena kind of feel. The spectators can see almost the entire track from the main grandstand.
dj choc ice 17 Apr 2007, 18:15 then i feel a zytek win for sure then, arena feel no pun intended;)
HORNDAWG 26 Apr 2007, 20:00 Little over a week to go to Valencia, get those thinking caps on!!
