It's just over a month ago, but here are some photos of the more interesting classic cars in the carpark at the Philip Island historic races. There were around 20 club displays with everything from the Vintage Sports Car Club to modern HSVs. The complete gallery is located here: LINK (http://gallery128870.fotopic.net/c1252227.html)
A very nice AC Ace (Bristol engine), unfortunately a little dusty but like everywhere at the moment the Island is in drought and has actually had to truck in drinking water as they were going to run out.

A couple of Alfas, of course the GTC is very rare although out of just under 1000 made (not sure how many RHD) there are at least 2 that are regularly seen at local shows.

Alvis roadster with a polished alloy body – clearly a lot of work had gone into this immaculate car

Some more of the VSSC cars which included a pair of Lagondas, a big 6 litre Bentley, Singer, Alvises, Morris and Vauxhalls

The Austin 7 club showing the variety of form their cars can take

A nice Lagonda sports

The boot of a “big tank” Chrysler Valiant Charger E38 does not leave much room for luggage (Bathurst homologated spec – that is a 35 gallon tank)
