I would agree that it was a pain in the proverbial having so many safety cars on the weekend - especially 2 for the same person. But even a minor indiscretion was costly due to how wet and slippery it was off track.
I also agree with Vee8 - maybe the threat of additional penalty would make the driving tame to avoid the risk.
Surely the lap or two down you fall while being pulled out is penalty enough. I don't think the Ambrose/SBR fans would have been happy with additional penalties when Ingall did a Besnard on the same corner the first lap he did in the Pirtek car last year. And he wasn't victim of a wet slippery in-field, he beached it!
Gracer wasn't far off - Besnard's WPS car finished 16th - the point remains the same.
