If it's a big enough crash to have to rebuild to that extent, it would be cheaper to buy a new car.
Even when Bargs had his crash at PI, the chassis remained the same. Same chassis = same car = same logbook = race again in V8TouringCars
No one said you can't rebuild it, new panels etc, but if you're talking about replacing the whole chassis, that's far from a rebuild.
