Mike Davies Anglia-Buick – one report in May 1966.
M Pelman Anglia-Buick – one report in May 1966.
John Emmins Anglia-Chevy 5.5.
John Hewitt (Luton Motor Company) Ford Tasman Anglia (Tasmanglia) – fitted with an ex-Racing Preparations 2.5 Climax FPF. Debuted at Silverstone in August. It was said in MN 8-9-66 that it “was once the ex-Doc Merfield Anglia (it has since had innumerable body shells and engines)”. Presumably, the car John Hewitt had previously raced with a 1600 engine. Raced victoriously by Peter Hawthorne (who normally raced a 1650 Anglia) at Boxing Day Mallory Park.
Adverts
Autosport 24-6-66 has four Anglias for sale:
• David Wynn-Williams – “successful” twin cam (24 starts, 23 places, 12 wins) – Hornchurch Essex.
• Gerry Amato (Anthony Amato Car Sales SE9) – “fantastically successful” 1650 - £795.
• Unnamed owner SW7 – due to change of plans unraced 1650, built from new 1966 shell, complies with Group 3 regulations, body finished in white with a navy stripe.
• Ex-Boley Pittard, 1594 twin cam, “3 races only from new” – Bournemouth. [How many cars did Pittard have/use? Brian Newton was said to have an ex-Pittard car in 1965, but races a Lotus-Cortina in 1966. Where did he live?]
