Certainly came as a surprise to me- although, JMW's background is very much as a Ferrari team- team boss Jim McWhirter used to race in the Ferrari Challenge series in the early 2000s

There were comments on DSC from Tim Sugden about there being a number of reasons for the change, some of them commercial.
JMW are keeping their Dunlop deal according to the DSC report, so it looks as if both teams will be running Dunlops
Aren't Jota planning long-term on being one of AMR's LMP customers? Maybe this gives Jota a stronger relationship with AMR, which might explain JMW's return to Ferrari?
