You don't know what other damage has been done though. There could be hidden problems caused by the shunt that seem fine on a one lap shakedown to the grid.
Looks an awful mess, the chassis leg's badly damaged. I wonder if they'll have to find a nearby bodyshop and do an all-nighter!
As Redshoes says, it's not like a rear ender where they can pull it out by some crazy means and tank tape it up. I remember seeing cars with ratchet straps tied to the crumpled rear and the other to a towtruck or a metal post.
