Hi Gary,
welcome to 10Tenths, Brands and marshalling in that order.
Not sure what you mean about driving on / off campsite to drop / pick up kit.
You can drive on and off the campsite to the big outside world after the day is over (or even before it starts), but when racing is on you'll be walking from the campsite to sign on and your post. Your car is redundant.
