Fantasy F1 2014 is Here

Hey Folks, the 2014 Fantasy comp is finally here, like F1 there are some new rules and we have some changes to the points scoring (highlighted in Red) to accommodate them.

We keep the same 11 constructors, we wave goodbye to some drivers, welcome some new ones, and point a finger and say “you again” to a returning driver.
We only have 3 Power train providers this year – note the new wording it’s relevant later.

Here we go then...

Teams

Your Team shall be made up of 2 Drivers, a constructor and Power Train Provider, from the table below.

You may not pick 2 drivers from the same team, nor pick a constructor from which one of the Drivers comes from.

You are allowed to Match your Power Train and Constructor to the real world, or choose your own combination.

All 4 components of your teams (2 Drivers, your constructor and Power Train provider) must not exceed the mandatory budget cap of 100,000

Please submit your team in the fashion below including the cost of each component total value

Team Name:
Driver 1: … (Value)
Driver 2: … (Value)
Constructor: … (Value)
Power Train: … (Value)

Total :

Each team shall be unique, so please check to ensure someone else hasn’t already selected that combination. If you do submit a combination already selected you'll be asked to pick again.

Scoring

The race points shall be awarded as follows.

Drivers from 25pts for a win to 3 for a non scoring finish
Constructors and Power Trains from 10pts for a win down to 1 point for Non Scoring Finish
The constructors Race total shall be made up of the total score of Both Cars plus any bonuses.
The Power Train Providers Race total shall be made up from the lead car of each of the first 3 constructors it powers
As Ferrari only provide Power Trains to 3 constructors it will be the lead car from each at the end of each Race, for Mercedes and Renault, it will be the lead car from the first 3 of their constructors at the end of the race.

Bonuses & Penalties

Qualification

A slight change to the Qually bonuses this year in respect to the constructors and power train providers. The Drivers remain the same.

Driver: Pole = 5, Q3 = 2 Q2 = 1
Constructor: Pole = 5, Both Cars in Q3 = 3
Power Train: Pole = 5, 3 constructors using the same power train in Q3 = 3 2 constructors using the same power train in Q3 = 1
As last year, theses bonuses are purely based on times. Should a driver/car/power train later be penalised by the stewards, the penalties will be applied as below. Drivers/cars who gain out of others misfortune do not get additional bonuses.

Race

Race bonuses remain as last year,
Fastest Lap, Leading a lap and most laps lead for the drivers
Fastest Lap and Lead most Laps for the Constructor
Fastest Lap and lead most laps for the Power Train provider

The Gain Loss Points of Plus or Minus 2 points remains the same and will be scored from the 5 minute to Race Start (TV sting) and the official results.

General Penalties

DNQ Penalties remain as last year
Not allowed to Race - Driver 75 points, Constructor 10
Allowed to Race - Driver 50

DNF caused by Accident/accident damage will not be penalised (although may be subject to future Grid drop penalty if stewards apportion blame)
DNF caused by Technical Failure will be penalised 5 points.
Should a Driver and Team be subject to a Grid Penalty, such as for a gear box change out of sequence, obstruction in Qually or other stewards decisions

A penalty of 2 points on the driver and 1 point on the Constructor will be enforced against each place dropped.
For Example a 3 place grid drop will see the driver penalised -6 pts to his overall race score and -3 pts against the Constructors Score.

Power Train Penalties

The power train is made up of 5 parts, and each driver has 6 of these parts for the season. Should a driver require more, the grid drop penalties as written into the Sporting Regulations will be applied as above to the driver and constructor (as possible cause could be driver error causing damage or constructor’s packaging of Power Train) but also a 2 point per grid place penalty shall be applied to the Power Train providers overall race score.*
This is being applied separately to ensure the penalty is applied, to the Power Train Provider

The sporting Regs allow 2 races to complete the total grid drop penalty, I shall apply the driver and team penalties on a race by race basis as per the Regs, however the Power Train penalty shall be applied in full to the race result in which the additional part is first used.
I’ll clarify this at the time … should it happen.

Replacements/Substitutions

Should a driver be replaced through Injury/ budgetary considerations / any other tactical reason:
The replacement driver will automatically be swapped into your Team.

Should this Driver have driven for another constructor earlier in this season meaning that your Team now breaks the rules:
Don't Worry about it.

Should you not want the replacement Driver or you can choose to make a Tactical Driver Substitution.

You are entitled to one Free Driver Change (More will cost 20 points each)

Should under the licence points system your driver be banned for a race or more the replacement driver will NOT score points in that/those race(s). Your team will be scored on the remaining Driver, constructor and Power train only.
You can however choose to Substitute the driver ahead of the Race from which he is banned. As above a first change is Free, if you have already used this it will cost you 20 points
.

You may not change your constructor or Power Train Provider Supplier

Overall Scores

Driver: Race points +/- position points + Qually Bonus + Fastest Lap + Most Laps Lead + Lead a lap - DNQ - Grid Drop = Race Total
Constructor: Race Points Car 1 + Race Points Car 2 + Qually Bonus + Most Laps Lead Bonus - DNQ - Grid Drop - DNF = Constructor Total
Power train: Race points lead car Constructor 1 + Race points lead car Constructor 2 + Race points lead car Constructor 3 + Qually Bonus + Most Laps Lead Bonus – Power Train Penalty = Engine Total

So finally, and we can’t start without it, the price list is here
