I did some more analysis of sector times (Spa) and I found something quite interesting: The biggest improvement (proportionally) for the #18 Porsche in sector times was in sector 2 (the twisty bits).
Anyway - extrapolating the data (always a very dangerous thing to do) we should get an ideal race lap time of between 3:18.5 and 3:18.8 (for Porsche). I expect we will see quite a few race laps in the 3:19 area but mostly in the 3:20.
