Market share and convenience for rentals?
Convenience wins. Public BEV chargers seem to be popping up about the place in the UK, not so much in Australia.
Spare a thought for the Philips Video 2000 cassette -- lucky to get one shelf in a video rental store compared to one corner of Beta and a whole floor of VHS, or worse the RCA VideoDisc -- a player-only for
video on vinyl could never compete with a video cassette
recorder, recalling the "record + time shift TV" market appeared first, before the home movie market.
