I'm in the same situation - need a new car with plenty of boot space, SUVs are tall for no reason and have less space than an equivalently priced estate. Current estate favourites are all VAG creations - Golf, Leon, Octavia (the wife ruled out Volvos - we're not old enough for a Volvo apparently
)
