Qualifying Result

Felix Rosenqvist, in his last drive for Arrows McLaren, pipped Scotty Mac by 0.01s to take pole, with a lap time of 1:06.6416. However, the official track record of 1:07.722, held by Hélio Castroneves since 2000, was broken by Christian Lundgaard in Round 2 of qualifying, with a lap time of 01:06.4610. He qualified 3rd. Ironically Hélio Castroneves qualified last. Newly crowned driver's champion Alex Palou was 6th.
