I had to look up the exact Champ car tyre specs. I found the following:
Front:
255/660/15
Rear:
370/710/15
So pretty close to what I'm proposing. Just that the Champ car tyres are slightly larger diameter (especially the rear) with a slightly higher tyre wall with more suspension in the tyre itself. Not F1 13-inch era levels of suspension though.
