I've just read the article mentioned by Marshal, and it does make some sense, especially the part about giving the brakes a preliminary pump before you stand on them. It does not mention if Williams have given up these brakes, after what happened to Ralf, it would appear not to be the case. If the composites used in these discs are indeed more effective, it could catch a following driver out quite easily. But being able to brake later would be a big advantage in overtaking, obviously very important to Williams, and worth the risk.
