Antrodemus should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2011 V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship | Entries & Changes

The 2011 V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship bursts into action in the sunny sands of Abu Dhabi in just under a months time in what promises to be yet another furious race for the Pete55 Memorial Trophy.

V8 Supremo Antrodemus took time out from building COTF-shaped sandcastles to share his enthusiasm for the category in 2011, and is confident of a great year.
“After the fantastically close finish to 2010, we get 2011 away to a wonderful start here in the Middle East, and this year will present a whole heap of new challenges,” he said. “I’m sure it will be an incredibly exciting year; lots of changes in team land and lots of driver changes so I look forward to it all rolling out again in February.”

Now entering its ninth year on Network Ten-Tenths, this series can always guarantee close racing, dodgy officiating, and heated rivalries. The 2011 V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship Series is upon us! Gentlemen (and Gentlewomen),
Start Your Engines!

Other Drivers
If anyone else not listed above drives in one of the non-enduro rounds, they will be valued at $200,000. I’ll make a separate call on Jason Richards if he makes his comeback this year.

Endurance Drivers
Specialist drivers will be available for Phillip Island, Bathurst and Surfers Paradise. More info below.

2. Hiring & Firing

As Team Owner/Manager, you are permitted to sack any or all of your drivers in the lead-up to a round, and replace them - so long as you don’t blow the salary cap or 3-driver limit.

To sack/hire someone, post here expressing your disappointment in your ex-employee(s), and your hopes for your new driver(s). You will only be charged a driver change if your team is different at the next round, so there is scope to change your mind if need be. The deadline for making changes is the start of first practise.
However, you can only do this twice during the season.

Phillip Island & Bathurst
If you wish, you may use one of your two allocated driver changes to hire some of the Sunday drivers that appear for Phillip Island and Bathurst. Your driver lineup, including enduro specialists, must still fit inside the $2M salary cap, but you will be allowed an extra pilot, so you can have a maximum of 4 drivers at these two races. You will automatically revert to your normal driver lineup after Bathurst, should you choose this option. Note that you do not have to pair up your drivers.

The price list for enduro drivers will be released once we know who they are. As an added incentive, the once-a-year brigade also come with generously discounted price tags

Surfers Paradise
For the Surfers Paradise Invitational, you will be allowed an extra $500,000 over and above the salary cap to add one international superstar (not a regular) to your normal three-driver lineup. If you had some cap room from your regular drivers, you can use it on your international; for example if you only used $1.8M on your 3 regulars, you can spend $700k on your international, for a total of $2.5M.
Adding an international does not count towards your two driver changes, but any changes to your regular driver lineup will.

As above, I’ll post a list once the international men of mystery reveal themselves.

3. Points:

Points are the same as the real series. Whatever a driver scores at each round in real life is what that driver will receive here, including penalties. Your worst round will not be dropped. You will not receive $200 for passing 'Go'.
If you notice that your team hasn't scored as many points as you think they should have (or more than they should have ), there are a couple of likely reasons for this:
1) My maths stinks;
2) I missed your driver change;
3) I've only just realised one of your drivers got penalised somewhere along the line.
Either way, let me know and I'll fix your score so its 100% correct.

4. Other Things You Should Know As Team Owner:

- One team per person, per year.
- You don’t have to use all $2 million (at Surfers, this may be advantageous ), but DO NOT GO OVER BUDGET!!! You will be suitably punished (ie. disqualified from the round) if I discover any creative bookkeeping.
- A driver can be chosen by more than one team - these guys are consummate professionals and are able to drive 54 cars simultaneously.
- Points are the same as the real series. If things don't seem to add up, feel free to point out my mathematical ineptitude.
- Round results and championship standings will be posted here following the conclusion of each round.
- After the results have been posted, you can report on your team’s performance (or lack thereof). Show us how good you are at distributing propaganda.

5. Team Announcements:

Once you’ve picked your driving line-up, give your team a name, announce some sponsors, racing numbers, liveries, grid girls/guys, mascots, overseas technical partners and any other stuff you can think of, and of course your manufacturer of choice, then post here giving a detailed description of the copious quantities of hide your team will kick in the forthcoming season.

To make it easy for me, could you please condense the propaganda into this sort of form following your press release:

Quote:
NAME: Turncoat Racing
SPONSORS: XXXX*
DRIVERS:
#001 James Courtney
#003 Tony d’Alberto
#006 Will Davison
MANUFACTURER: Undecided
* Nothing to do with beer - that’s a double double-cross!

Entries are open as of now, so start issuing those press releases! There are a few changes this year, so make sure you've got them noted down
Your team can be altered without penalty until first practise at Yas Marina.
Comments/suggestions/queries are more than welcome, either here or via PM.

May the Fords be with you (or against you as the case may be),
