I agree that Le Mans has survived pretty well against other tracks. Look at the 1970 proposal here http://theracingline.net/racingcircu...nce/index.html (follow the link to Le Mans, great site but needs a refresh) to see what could have happened. Tertre Rouge to the Porsche curves (chicanes excepting of course) is pretty much what they have raced on since 1923.

But I do feel they have messed with the Dunlop area far too much for the sake of the bikes. I love MotoGP and want the riders to be safe, but surely they could have added a curve for the bikes and left the car track as it was. However against Silverstone or Hockenheim, both of which have had the entire character of the track changed, we have a lot to be thankful for.
