Bigears has done a cracking job on the research - but this book made me so angry - how on earth did the people of Birmingham let petty political squabbling kill of what could and would have been the future of the British Grand Prix. Birmingham would likely have attracted the F1 teams (rather than Oxford) and the glamour would have come too. We would probably have had a new permanent circuit as well. But no the likes of Claire Short wanted to score political points so killed the event
