In 2009 the whole Mercedes solution (battery, motor and electronics) weighed 27 kg and in 2011 24 kg. In 2009 the batteries had to be replaced every 2 races (2400 km), but in 2011 the life time of the batteries was extended to 10000 km. The efficiency of solution (energy released vs energy harvested/stored) is 80%.
