Oh, for goodness sake. It's already difficult enough for fans to figure out what the strategy is, without having to consider whether or not a team's getting close to their 30% on the option tire or whatever.
I say - give the teams both tires, don't mandate that they need to use both, and let the strategists duel it out as to which tire goes on the car, when, and for how long.
As for mandatory pit stops - that's ridiculous.
