From what I can tell, the year the Chaparral did the 8:31.9, the circuit was 22.835 km, which they used until 1982. In 1983, they used a 20.832 km circuit and then from 1984 on they used the much shorter circuit for the 1000 km. So the circuit they are using for the 24 hours is about 25 km? The speeds are even more impressive than I thought.
