To say that AsLMS is run on a budget would be an understatement. AFAIK MSS is run with government subsidies.
A merger/joint-race with the Sepang 12 Hour wouldn't work because half of the field is made up of grassroots teams. Their best strategy is to align their races with GT Asia and Audi R8 LMS Cup because that's where the money is.
