Guisbro Rod H should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Why do the most amusing incidents seem to occur in Ireland?
A good night was had by all, but it finished very late.
The following day's lunch break occurred, we got back on post early and there was a delay.

We waited for the European Rally cross cars to emerge.
Remember these are not the detuned ones of today that are only twice as powerful as crasher McRae's Focus type of rally car. Not 300 horse power of rally cars or 650 bhp of today's cars but the really powerful and LOUD monsters of Schanker, Ali Maki, etc.

As in the above story it was warm so we lay down to rest to recover from the previous night. When THOSE cars started we all awoke, except one young lady. Irish Ladies and Flagging - others can comment. The lady was well asleep on the grass. The grass bank was on the apex of the corner above three layers of armco.

She was dreaming, I must be at a rallycross meeting, she felt warm and save. We had her flags in hand awaiting the cars arrival to ensure safety of drivers.

Her face whilst dreaming was a picture. Then the cars came (safely) within one yard of her head on full blast 4 wheel drift. That face should have been on video. The slow realisation as she awoke of several thousand horse power on full song in close proximity was a joy to behold. We were not blessed with her favourable comments as we held her flags behind our backs - no distraction to the drivers, but could she find them as we hid them?

Sadly I cannot guarantee warm weather at Croft on 26/27 October when some European Rallycrossers' are invited to play with the British drivers.
